INGREDIENTS :

2 CUPS SPLIT PEAS
8 CUPS COLD WATER
2 STALKS CELERY CHOPPED
2 CARROT AND ONIONS CHOPPED
1 TEASPOON OF SALT
1/2 TEASPOON OF BLACK PEPPER
2 TABLESPOONS PARSLEY CHOPPED

DIRECTIONS

RINSE SPLIT PEAS IN COLD WATER . PLACE IN A PAN ADD COLD WATER AND BRING IT TO A BOIL THEN REDUCE HEAT TO LOW COVER THE POT AND LET SIMMER FOR 20 MINUTES TILL PEAS SOFTEN

ADD THE INGREDIENTS AND COOK THE SOUP TO A BOIL OVER LOW HEAD AND COOK FOR 30 MINUTE TILL VEGETABLES ARE TENDER AND SPLIT PEAS HAVE DISINTEGRATED. ADD PARSLEY AND SALT TO TASTE
